Class In The Gallery

March 31st - April 5th 2011

Class In The Gallery sought to explore the ways in which art can become a tool for thinking and to raise questions about the use of art and how this may be impeded by class and social structures in the art world.

The show was built up by through discussions between AS/A2 students from Morpeth School and Whitechapel Gallery's young persons group Duchamp and Sons.

Shown below is the work which was presented in the show at Portman Gallery and documention, also featured in the show, of the artists speaking about their practice.
